Log Viewer for ArduPilot is provided by Igor Sul. For privacy questions, contact igorsul@gmail.com.
Flight logs and local processing
You choose the ArduPilot DataFlash .bin files to open. The app imports a copy into its local storage and processes the log on your device to display routes, signals, messages, parameters and check results. Logs may contain flight coordinates and other information recorded by the autopilot. The app does not upload imported log files to a server operated by the developer.
The app stores imported copies, indexes and session settings locally so you can reopen logs and restore preferences. Device backup settings may include app data in a backup managed by your operating system or backup provider.
Maps and external services
Map imagery is provided through Apple Maps and requires network access. Requests for the displayed map area are handled by Apple's mapping services. This can reveal the geographic area being displayed to the map service; local log processing should not be understood as a promise that no map requests leave the device. Apple's handling of these requests is described at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/data/en/apple-maps/.
If you select a file from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that service handles access to the source file under its own terms. If you open a reference link from a check result, the destination website handles that visit under its own policy.
Exports and sharing
The app creates CSV and PNG exports at your request. When you share an export, the destination you select handles the shared data under its own terms. Exported data can include information from your flight log.
Accounts, advertising and analytics
The current app does not require an account and does not integrate advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Platform-level services and diagnostics may operate according to your Apple device settings and Apple's policies.
Support messages
If you email support, your address, message and any files you choose to attach are processed to respond to your request and investigate reported problems. The email service provider also processes those communications. Support correspondence and attachments are retained until you request their deletion by emailing igorsul@gmail.com. Avoid including flight locations or other information you do not wish to disclose.
Retention and your choices
Imported logs, indexes and settings remain in app storage until that data is removed. In the current version, removing a recent-flight entry removes it from the library list but does not erase the imported file or cache. Deleting the app through iOS/iPadOS removes its local container; offloading retains app data. Original source files, exports and external backups must be managed separately in their respective services.
You choose which logs to import and which exports to share. To ask about or request deletion of information sent to support, email igorsul@gmail.com. Do not send a flight log solely to make a privacy request.
This website
This support and privacy website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for information about its processing.
We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms or tracking cookies to these pages. Contacting support opens your email application; the website does not accept flight-log uploads.
Changes
This policy will be updated when the app's data handling changes. The effective date above identifies the applicable revision.
Purchases
Optional Pro purchases and subscriptions use Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes payment and manages purchase history. The app reads verified purchase and subscription information to determine access, restore purchases and determine trial eligibility. It does not receive your payment card details. The standalone trial is a free App Store purchase and its original purchase date determines its seven-day duration. Subscription trials and renewals are managed by Apple.
